Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet
A scalding dramatic comedy about small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen who are prepared to engage in any number of unethical, illegal actsfrom lies and flattery to bribery, threats, intimidation, and burglaryto sell plots of land, trying to grind out a living in a never-ending scramble for their share of the American dream. The play is notorious for its use of profanity. The actual title of the film comes from the names of two of the real estate developments being peddled by the salesmen characters (
Glengarry
Highlands and Glen Ross Farms).
